The Wise Maine-Anjou Ranch, some 40 miles northeast of Calgary, Alberta, is 900 acres of pasture and hay production supporting 100 purebred Maine-Anjou cattle where breeding is everything.

The focus is on producing seedstock for the purebred industry and bulls for the commercial industry. For the Wise Ranch, "the emphasis is also on pleasing the commercial cattleman with good functional cattle that you like to look at and will deliver the performance gain you require today."
