ROP Program
During the 2009-10 test - we placed the bulls on a reduced amount of grain as compared to our standard program. They received 10.8 lbs/hd/day as opposed to 11.5-12 lbs/hd/day of the 12% protein steam-rolled barley ration. In addition, they received 6.5 lbs/hd/day of good quality alfalfa hay and 5 lbs/hd/day of green barley straw (7% protein).

Our standard feeding program uses a moderate 12% protein steam-rolled barley ration which we increase over the test time up to 13.5 lbs/day, while also feeding excellent alfalfa/grass hay at approximately 12 lbs/day. We feel this ration allows the bulls to develop and grow without harming their health yet shows their ability to have respectable gains.

Females
The productive females in our herd today have been chosen through more than 35 years of strategic selection pressure on the entire cow herd. Super young females, like these to the right, are also available for private treaty sales.
